The United Kingdom has a strong tradition of medicines development. In the last decade, over 25% of EU clinical trial applications originated from the UK, which ranks first or among the leading European nations for the number of early clinical trials each year.

The Centre for Pharmaceutical Medicine Research (CPMR) draws on this experience to provide excellent research and education in pharmaceutical medicine.
